I pride myself on trying to give back and uplift others, and when the pandemic hit, we were like, oh, wow, you know, this is a rough time. And my dad was able to work with some of the best chefs, and I guess that kind of like lit their fire - and me just being around it, right?ДЇood has just always been a passion, and food has always been good. They have that Caribbean background in cooking, and both my parents worked in the hotel business. 'Dine N Bash' came through a bunch of things. With all the other things you have going on, why start a food show? This conversation has been edited for length and clarity. I recently sat down to share some lasagna and cacio e pepe with Joseph-Day at Inglewood's Sunday Gravy, the subject of his latest 'Dine N Bash' episode, and talk about his journey to becoming your new favorite food host. ItвЂ™s your boy Sebastian Joseph-Day here.вЂќ Most of the early episodes start with Joseph-Day sitting at a tidy desk in a studio, talking to the camera.

(Joseph-Day, a fourth-year pro, has been injured since late October it's unclear whether he will play in the Super Bowl.) Many of the restaurants, cafes and delis he features are in and around SoFi Stadium, where the Rams play their home games. If a restaurant is known for a specific dish, he orders it. The premise is simple: вЂњThereвЂ™s a story behind every storefront.вЂќ In each episode, Joseph-Day, 26, visits a business and learns about the proprietor. He launched вЂњDine N Bash' in 2020 with episodes that take viewers to restaurants in Los Angeles (many of which I'd already visited), into his Haitian parentsвЂ™ kitchen in Pennsylvania and to his favorite Mexican restaurant he frequented as a college student at Rutgers. The word he turns to most to describe food is вЂњbussin.вЂќ His hands are always moving and his Cheshire Cat grin is warm and constant. Sebastian, or Bash as his friends like to call him, is an enthusiastic and animated host.

One is a classic Dusty Springfield track you probably have heard before and the other is one of my favourite pop love songs which was also featured on the Quadrophenia soundtrack The Isley Brothers are one of the most underrated R&B acts and this one really needed to find its way into Rock Band.Д¬losing the pack are two great songs from that era. I really like Rod Stewart and one of the songs I love the most is his cover of this amazing Isley Brothers classic. Again, this can be a bit intense on drums. Da Doo Ron Ron hits you with a wall of sound from beginning to the end and itвЂ™s a pure injection of adrenaline. Well, this is arguably where it all began. ItвЂ™s called the Wall of Sound and it was specifically designed to take advantage of the innovations taking place in the recording studios and to maximize the impact on radio listeners. In the 60s Phil Spector created a sound that defined a generation of music and that even The Beach Boys used for their Pet Sounds historic record. You might remember this from Lost, Seinfeld and oddly even a bombingвЂ¦ This is surprisingly challenging on drums in a couple of sections. LetвЂ™s start with a song that escapes most genre definitions and has appealed to generations because of its unique mix of quasi-Broadway quality and pure soul. So while we wonвЂ™t go back to the roots of rock with this pack, we will certainly travel back to a moment in time where ground was still being brokenвЂ¦ IвЂ™m a big fan of knowing the history of anything you love and I have always loved understanding the history of pop and rock music.
